A shame. I have been to GC all over. This is bad. Signature yeast rolls, dry. Biscuits, hard as a rock. Chicken, dry. Place is dirty. I come back every year, and I think this will be the last. Good news is the Manager contacted me as a result of my receipt survey and wants to make it better. We'll see on the second visit.

This was the nastiest Golden Corral I have ever been to. 1) the baby seat look like it has never been cleaned 2) the tables were sticky 3) the bathrooms were gross with no paper towels 4) I picked up 8 dirty plates before I got to one clean 5) the spoons and forks had dried food stuck to them. The service was ok.

This is probably the nastiest Golden Corral that I ever been to. Once you walk into their parking lot there is a bad smell. I don't know about you but I don't want to be smelling any funk smells before eating or while I'm eating. So we enter into Golden Corral...there is another different funky smell. It couldn't get any worse and it did. Now I have to eat with a funky smell while eating. It smelled like the odor was coming from the carpets or they aren't cleaning something good enough. I hope the management reads this and does something about the odor. All I did was eat as quickly as possible and got out of there....EWWW NASTINESS!!!!

I am not a frequenter of buffet dining, although recently, due to a party, I was invited to go. This was my first time at GC. As you enter, you wait on line to pay for your meal, then backtrack to pick up your beverage. Meal was about $12.00 for lunch including beverage. Once you are seated with your party, you are welcomed to taste all the food they have laid out along the scalloped counters. It starts with salads and soups to the left, main courses in the middle and desserts on the right. I had some chicken, mashed with gravy and broccoli and I ate all of it. Dessert time came and I helped myself to a piece of vanilla cake, dredged in cherries with white frosting (I only ate one bite). I poured vanilla ice cream from soft serve and it was melting as I was pouring it. (I thought it would be a safe bet). There was cotton candy, but I passed on that as well as most of the desserts. I couldn't resist the chocolate fountains, so I pierced a marshmallow on a stick, and the marshmallow was hard and stale. So much for my first adventure to a chocolate fountain. One thing I added to the side of my plate was a teaspoon of bread pudding. After tasting a minute amount of the above, I discarded it and went back for more of the bread pudding. It was light, fluffy and delicious. The waitress filled my plastic glass with sweet tea countless times until she began to do the same with my coffee cup. She was friendly, polite and helpful.

The place is simply filthy. That's the only way to describe it. That carpet smell is mold from having let it get wet and not cleaning it. The tables are just brushed with a dry cloth. Silverware and plates have cooked on food stuck on. Kids are picking food with their fingers and nobody cares. Food on the floor has been allowed to be ground into the carpet. In a word, nasty! The food is ok. Just ok. Institutional cooking without even an attempt to raise it up. If you like school cafeteria food then it'll be fine. There's nothing on the buffet here that makes it worth a special trip. And the price... Unless you're in a discount position, you'll pay too much to eat here. IMHO, just not worth it. So many gave a negative review of the brownies that I just had to see for myself. Don't do it! Walk away! Baked cow pie would be tastier. You have been warned.

The food was decent. The waitress was pretty slow but friendly. Seems like the salad was old and the steak was definitely cook to death. But my wife liked it and a that's all that matters right.

The hush puppies were hard. They don't tell you when the special starts in 10 minutes, seniors beware.

Typical buffet style place like all the rest. I could just come in for the dessert bar!

This is your typical Golden Corral buffet with plenty of fat people. Their corn bread is awful, but the fried chicken is great. Don't eat the brownies--they taste like packaged gas station brownie bites.

Ok...so were visiting on vacation and ended up here because every other buffet costs $50 bucks and require a credit check to get in! Lol. We were a little skeptical because previous reviews mentioned the location smelling like sweat, rage and disappointment. Luckily it didn't smell at all and the food for the most part was what one would expect from Golden Corral. Ya know, edible but not great. That is before you get to the desserts. I was gonna try the chocolate fountain but it dawned on me that, that thing probably had more germs than a Las Vegas hooker on a Saturday night during spring break. One thing I saw mentioned before was that the brownies weren't that great. LIES!!! Those brownies tasted like the inside of Satans Asshole after working out on a treadmill in Hell. They tasted like whale sploosh. My tounge flopped out my mouth and started crip walking out the door. True story. All in all. Good food but (Morgan freeman voice) "Stay away from them Brownies"!

For the price you cant beat it. Sunday night they had Prime rib which was actually decent and the sirloin steaks were ok. I didnt touch any veggies but had all the meat and dessert that I could want. Everything was clean and our drinks were refilled often. Exactly what I expected from Golden Corral, nothing less.

I went to Golden Corral today. Well one past review mentioned an awful smell upon entering Golden Corral. That person never lied!!!! When you first enter the restaurant the smell hits you right away. I didn't want to be the party pooper so I cont'd on worst decision ever! It is a tourist trap because of location, so if you don't have to please go the other way. The food is beyond mediocre, it's just a nightmare all together. Just Run!!

This location is not near as good as the North Myrtle location. The steak was tough and over done. The service was slow. Drive a little further and go to the other one!!

Golden Corral has really stepped it up since our last visit! The food was much fresher and there was an overall better variety. The banana pudding was awesome! Great buffet for the price and speed!

Excellent buffet for $11.50! They had a lot of variety, and their fried chicken was delicious! I'd definitely go back.

I go to GC once a year to remind myself why I don't go more often. Most of the food tastes the same, they just alter the color and shape. One nice thing is that once a year they offer a free night for veterans and that is appreciated.
